FSANZ makes sure that potential chemical residues in food are within levels that are known to be safe for people to eat. FSANZ, in liaison with the APVMA, reviews the exposure of consumers to chemical residues according to international best practice methods.

•  CropLife International, New Zealand (Agcarm)
CropLife International is a global federation representing the plant science industry and a network of regional and national associations in 91 countries.

•  Horticulture New Zealand
Horticulture New Zealand represents 7000 commercial fruit and vegetable growers, providing strategic direction and focus, building strong relationships with product groups and associations and working at both a national and regional level.

•  Horticulture New Zealand Product Groups
HortNZ acts as an 'umbrella' organisation for the 22 affiliated Product Groups represented here. The chairs and managers of these Product Groups regularly met with HortNZ to discuss national representation of the industry on issues like resource management planning, biosecurity protection and labour needs. Some of these groups collect their own levies, independent of HortNZ.

•  Pipfruit New Zealand
Pipfruit NZ Inc. represents the New Zealand pipfruit industry - primarily growers of apples, pears and nashi. We provide growers throughout the country with technical, policy and marketing information. We also represent their interests locally and in export markets. This includes providing industry information and advising the relevant authorities or other interest groups.

•  Sustainable Winegrowers New Zealand
Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand was established in 1995 as an industry initiative directed through New Zealand Winegrowers and was commercially introduced in 1997 and adopted by growers from all the grape growing regions. The introduction of winery standards in 2002 has been a significant development, which further substantiates the industry commitment to sustainable production.

•  Federated Farmers of New Zealand
